An open letter in dedication to the life and memory of the American Dream

Dusty Rhodes passed away today at the age of 69 and one thing right now is going through my mind is a Bruce Springsteen song called Land of Hopes and Dreams, the lyrics that speak to me at this very moment  "Big wheels roll through fields and sunlight streams Meet me in a land of hopes and dreams"
He was a man way ahead of his time he truly was the champion for the working man. Heck that's why his WWE entrance song was called The Common Man Boogie. He described himself perfectly when he said "I've wined and dined with kings and queens and slept in back alleys and dined on Pork & Beans." His charisma was purely electric he was truly loved by the fans and also was truly gifted when it came to his in-ring work and abilities. But perhaps the thing that everyone will remember about him was that he was a teacher to all and was not afraid to help out the younger wrestlers especially those who are currently in or have gone through the WWE's developmental system. I never had the chance to meet him but I really wished that I had because if I did I would have told him thank you for everything that you've done and we are truly thankful for every single contribution that you've made to this industry known as professional wrestling.

I will keep your entire family surrounded in my prayers

I want to wish you a very peaceful rest and my sincerest condolences to your family

All Apologies and A New And Improved Direction

I've had a lot of moments of self doubt recently involving my blog, so I went and I was looking at the statistics and all I have to say is I'm impressed I had page views from a person in China and a couple of people in Poland and I have to say I am extremely humble and grateful for the views and for taking a little bit of an interest in this thing that I call my blog and so the Million Dollar question is... Where do we go from here. I will say it's not where do we go from here it's Where do we Grow from here. Charles Darwin absolutely put it perfectly by stating that animals of a species must adapt to their environment or they shall perish from their environment. And so I hope to take this chance and opportunity to grow and dive into the realm of the Wrestling Podcast. I already have 1 episode currently up on a free podcasting service called spreaker.com and the title of the podcast is called The GS WrestleCast. Please take a listen if you have 25 mins free I will be doing it as a 30 min podcast format I want input. Give me segment ideas tell me what you like what I can attempt to change for you the listeners and readers this is all about talking about the greatest sport known to man Pro Wrestling.

Thanks and Have a Nice Day

Comments Questions and Concerns

I am only posting this to ask my blog viewers to please comment on my postings and tell me what your thoughts are when it comes to the world of Professional Wrestling. That is all I have to say about that.

Why I am a Fan and Why I am Not a Fan of John Cena

If you are a person that will chant Let's go Cena I agree with you. If you chant Cena sucks I agree with you. I am sure that you who are reading this are confused. Allow me to explain how I feel about
John Cena. If you we're take a look at the kind of schedule this guy has it is just inhuman that he is able to deal with such a crazy lifestyle. But yet he is able to be an amazing role model to so many young fans of the WWE universe despite the fact that he has to do a million things before the day is done and if you look at how many make a wish kids he's helped over the years it is astounding. He is the perfect out of the ring face of the WWE. Now inside the ring is a bit of a different story. What he does is just be a modern day 1980's Hulk Hogan where he gets beaten down and then somehow he summons this out of world power to comeback and win the match but this constant comeback is starting to wear thin on me. I like to be surprised when it comes to pro wrestling but every time he does the comeback you know what's going to happen Shoulder Block, Shoulder Block, Protoplex, and Five Knuckle Shuffle. It has gotten old dude try to do a different comeback and maybe more people will be entertained by you and will cheer you on more. But hey who am I to criticize a 4x winner of the Pro Wrestling Illustrated match of the year winner.

Why NXT Matters

Before I give my opinions on the issue of NXT I would like to first take the time out to apologize for my infrequent blog posts recently my family and myself have been going through a rough patch, since this bump in the road has passed I want to give my thoughts feelings and opinions about NXT. It is awesome and saddening to see that what people are wanting to see is the stars of NXT on the main roster instead of those who are on the current roster. Now make no mistake about it there are guys on the roster that people pay their money to see and as well as spending their money on that superstar's merch but I think that when the higher powers that be in the WWE decided to combine the brands instead of having two different talent rosters for their main shows and I think that it gave them more opportunity to use the guys that they didn't normally use and to showcase what they do best and to create more exclusive rivalries that you can only see if you watch Smackdown or Raw and that is what drew their fans to those shows and so to the fans that don't watch NXT I feel sorry for you because you do not get to see the guys that love the wrestling business and show why they love by giving a performance that will inspire the next generation of professional wrestlers.

Have a Nice day

Making the Case for Sami Zayn

In just a little over than one week WWE's Roster of the superstars for tomorrow get another opportunity to show why all the eyes of the entire WWE Universe need to be on them especially, for a guy like Sami Zayn. About two years ago I started to become interested in an independent wrestling promotion called Ring of Honor and I saw a guy really stand out from all rest of the wrestlers that were on the show. He went by the name of El Generico and instantly I was drawn to him. Just the way he presented himself as the generic luchador and how they made him speak such bad Spanish that is was so funny, and I kept thinking to myself, how could anybody not like this guy and even to this day as he has somewhat stepped out of the shadows of being the generic luchador and morphed into a Red Head version of Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. And now the booking and creative committees are now looking at him as being a viable candidate to carry the NXT and maybe the WWE banner not too far down the road and all I have to say is that WWE has chosen an awesome and very well liked person that can be the face of a company like WWE and not look like a total beefcake, he could easily get more over than Daniel Bryan's Yes chant with a simple soccer chant.

Welcome World

Hello I have noticed that the creative department of WWE has not been going in a direction that is both detrimental to Wrestlers as well as for the fans. So I created this forum to express my views as a WWE Fan as well as being appreciative of the wrestling done by other companies and independent promotions. This is where I will be expressing my views and my perspective of the direction of the WWE. This will not be like other wrestling websites, I will be both praising and criticizing what happens with characters, promos, matches, and the wrestling world in general. So I will be hoping that you will stay tune and be in wait for what I have in store for this blog.

Thankssssssssss
